Planning a Cloud Solution – Recommended Standards and Frameworks
As shared on LinkedIn….
Extending the "Architecture: Planning for a Cloud Solution – The Journey" article, I have tried to map the Stages, Sub-stages to some standard and/or recommended frameworks.
Every matured Enterprise would have a defined set of standards and/or framework (standard or custom), to be used as a baseline to comply against, below is a #OnePager mapping of the standards / frameworks.
Sharing the Stages and Sub-stages mapped to Standards / Frameworks (with some handy links) as below:
Stage: Direct
- Sub-Stage: Direction, Governance, Policies, Strategy and Roadmap: COBIT Framework
- Sub-Stage: Maturity Model : CMMI framework
Stage: Change
- Sub-Stage: Program/Project/Stakeholder management: PMP-PMBoK, Prince2, Agile, Scrum
- Sub-Stage: Architect / Analyze / Design: TOGAF, Zachman, BABok
- Sub-Stage: Change Management: PROSCI
Stage: Operate
The above is by no means a comprehensive list, I am sure Architects and Digital Advisors worldwide would be using a variety of standards and frameworks, happy to hear about experiences on the varied depth and breadth of the standards used.
