Performance reviews…

I (along with Craig Bailey) just started my first performance review with my Talman team, I was planning for this since last 4 months….

The purpose of an employee performance review is to communicate feedback on your level of performance within the role defined for you.

Good performance review systems improve communication. This is an effective way to clarify job role, responsibility and performance between management and the team.

Performance reviews can clearly highlight the top performers and the under achievers, when writing an annual performance review, consider the job description, responsibilities, goals and accomplishments of the past period (can be period since last review / last few months / last year).

I created a monthly table to track progress and measure deliverables. What we discussed in person was the feedback on expectations and performance, as well as setting clear goals for the next review.

Most important, the performance review should be used as a learning curve to ascertain feedback on one’s performance.

Often the outcome determines bonuses, salary increases, and keeping your job.
