Software development blunders…Fixes cost quotes…

Planning software-development projects based on fixed cost quotes or fixed man days basically does not work due to the unique nature of software development and hence wherever possible should be avoided.

Client and the developer should always understand this industry fact and should be willing to resolve costing issues upfront (if and when it arises during project execution) and concentrate more on completeness, quality and timely delivery of the project.

Bunch of tools, I tried most of them and I definitely see value for all FoxPro developers. I specially liked the “DBF comparer” which outlines the differences upto a dbf record level.

Shown to the public for the first time earlier this month, Hitachi’s new RFID chip is an improvement on its predecessor — the Mu-chip, which at 0.4 millimeters by 0.4 millimeters, looks about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Subjective signals when someone is trying to be protective….

While body language can be a good indicator of someone who is trying to be protective, a person’s unconscious mannerisms aren’t always reliable. So how would you get signals from someone who is trying to be protective when the person is not physically present in front of you (I am referring to email conversation, chatting or even phone conversation), well it’s your job to play detective and put the puzzle pieces together, by using the person’s communication (email, speech, phone calls).
